Melissa B. Lombardo, founder of Write, Heal, Thrive® LLC, is a trauma-responsive author, speaker, and workshop facilitator who empowers individuals to reclaim their voice through writing, creativity, and community. Drawing from both lived experience and professional development, Melissa creates spaces where individuals can explore storytelling and creative expression in community.
Melissa’s background includes work as a sexual assault crisis advocate, meditation instructor, and creative writing workshop facilitator. She is affiliated with organizations including the Author’s Guild, Connecticut Authors and Publishers Association (CAPA), Connecticut Poetry Society, Jane Doe No More Survivor Speak Outreach team and Advocacy Unlimited’s Toivo Center for holistic healing.
A lifelong writer and journaler, Melissa believes in the power of the written word to foster healing, self-discovery, and transformation. Today, she walks alongside others as they write, heal, grow, and thrive in their own way and at their own pace.
Write, Heal, Thrive®
Founded in 2023, Write, Heal, Thrive® (WHT) was born from Melissa’s personal healing journey and her decision to speak and write her truth after surviving sexual violence. WHT offers in-person and virtual writing and art workshops, books, journals, and creative resources that help writers transform lived experience into connection, empowerment, and legacy. We collaborate with organizations, schools, wellness spaces, community programs, and conferences to create customized experiences tailored to the needs of each group.
